The Only Place You Will Find 'Success' Before 'Work' is in the Dictionary. Success starts from day one by organizing and developing well-defined objectives. Good planning starts with knowing the competitive landscape. Study your opponent and your own options in relation to the playing field and make the most efficient decisions based on what you have to work with. Well laid-out plans are only effective if able to be executed in business.
Staying Power. Older franchisers will have their legacy on their side and newer franchisers should work on establishing this 'name.' A good deal of businesses allure customers based mainly on their tradition and name alone; it is the job of the franchiser to create, keep, and build upon their good name. Older franchisers have to ensure that they stay in the minds of the people and newer ones have to make sure that they get there.
Add Pizzazz. You don't want to be a player in the game- you want to own the game. Very successful businesses have become a part of the social fabric. People know and recognize big, successful businesses without even thinking about it; the way they got there was not only a highly demanded service or product, but the understanding how to become high in demand. The importance of relating to the public cannot be stressed enough!
Finding a Fine-fitting Franchise. Keeping the ball rolling is a job of a franchiser, but be sure that the ball is indeed rolling when you get it. Selecting a quality franchise opportunity is integral if you are going to make your own mark in the business. Franchisers will be more successful if they have an inherent passion for their service or product and brings something of their selves into the business encompassing their workers, locations, and customers.
Be the Quintessential in Quality. You want your customers to not have an absolute positive experience with your company, but to always and consistently have this positive experience. There are large opportunities to take advantage of in the business of franchising, but expansion should never take away from great quality. This vision should be uniform to every location and every employee of the business.
Don't Build Your Castle With Sand. Ideas are excellent; in business they are merely theoretical unless they can be implemented into the business. Make sure that all of your plans are well perused, every 't' is crossed, and 'i' dotted. For instance, involved in start-up costs should be the amount of money it will cost to market your business. Also, there is often a misconception of what it takes to find the right people to represent you and your business.
There is an 'A' in Team. Sports dynasties are built around stellar players and coaches, business is no different. Along with a great product or service, needs to be the brains and brawn behind the operation. Your success and rate of which will not only depend on the right decisions by you, but also your staff on every level. One way to quell this concern is to bring in an experienced team. Keep Ties with the Times. To be a juggernaut, you have to live minutes before your competition. Times and interests are ever changing and your business should be orchestrated to move with the times. The next big thing is only a big idea wrapped in a big dollar away; you must make sure there is an absolute high barrier for other competition to enter your playing field. If you do not stay unique with your finger on the pulse of your consumers, you are inviting someone else to do so.
