During the time when I was continuously failing to make any profit in my trading I was looking for the best Forex trading course. I was thinking that once I acquire the necessary information that the best traders have I will become a successful trader. I truly believed that there is some hidden information that you can learn only in those expensive trading courses.

Unfortunately if it was that simple everyone would make money in Forex. So if you have not yet developed discipline and your are still fall a prey to your emotions like greed and fear then probably even a best course can help you very little. I have taken many trading courses. But it was not a course that changed my trading outcome. Do you want to know what it was? It was a book written by Mark Douglas "Disciplined Trader". If you have not yet read this book then I urge you to run to the nearest bookstore or library and get yourself a copy. Besides that author outlines the major psychological obstacles for consistently profitable trading he also gives useful exercises that can be used on a daily basis. After some time of continuously using his exercise I found that may equity curve is rising consistently.

Once you fix your mindset in trading then trading courses may be useful for you. There are a lot of great courses out there. Even more that are not so good. In my opinion since success is a journey not a destination those courses need to be ongoing. There are a few examples of such courses. Rob Booker's training is on of them. You pay one time fee and have lifetime access to the member's area and personal support. Another example is Peter Bain's Forex Mentor course. You do have continuous support in this course but you have to pay a monthly fee to be able to access the member's area.

How about those trading strategies and software different companies are selling to traders. For me they are only tools that can help me to trade better. No tool can make you a successful trader. Have you noticed some people get the necessary information and skyrocket to success others with the same information cannot accomplish a lot? That's the importance of the mindset. So if you are already making consistent profit in market then tools will help you. They will not trade instead of you. You don't ask a knife cut the bread you cut it with the knife. Then why so many people expect to install some sort of software on their trading platform and get consistent profit? It may give you profit some time but it will fail you other times.

I strongly believe that to be a successful trader one needs to work on his psychology. Those software and strategies actually may help you to work on it. If you keep executing the strategy over and over again you will develop discipline and feel for the market.
