Is the Ocean Mentioned in the Bible?
This is a new series (1-10) of Verse No. in the Bible versus the Quran.
Verse No. 10 in the Old Testament says: God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas.
Verse No. 10 in the New Testament says: Hezekiah begat Manasseh; who begat Amon; who begat Josiah;
Verse No. 10 in the Noble Quran says: those who believe in the unseen, and establish the (daily) prayer, and spend out of what Allah has bestowed upon them;
------------------------
The verse No. 10 in the Old Testament is Genesis 1:10
The verse continues talking about the creation of the heavens and the earth, it says: God called the dry ground "land,"( God called the dry land Earth), and the gathered waters he called "seas." (and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas). And God saw that it was good.
It is interesting that the ocean (s) is not mentioned in the process of the creation of the heavens and the earth although this vast body of salt water covers almost three fourths of the earth's surface.
The geographical divisions of this vast body, commonly given as the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Antarctic oceans.
It is clear that the Bible, when describing the process of the creation of the heavens and the earth, never talks about the ocean(s), although the verse 1:10 talks about the waters that were gathered together.
On the other hand, the ocean is mentioned three times in New International Version of the Bible. However, the ocean is never mentioned in King James Version. Is not it interesting?

The verse No. 10 in the New Testament is Matthew 1:10
The verse continues talking about the Genealogy of Jesus Christ, and Matthew lists Jesus' ancestors, the verse says: Hezekiah (Ezekias) the father of Manasseh (Manasses), Manasseh the father of Amon (Amos), Amon the father of Josiah (Josias),
Here again, we have the intricacy in writing the names of the persons in the different four versions of the Bible studied.
Fundamentally, the names of the people have no translation, they have to be written as they are pronounced.
How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Josiah (ends by H); and in another version of the Bible he is Josias (ends by S)?
How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Amon (ends by N) and in another version of the Bible he is Amos (ends by S)?
How come that a person's name in one version of the Bible is Manasseh (ends by H) and in another version of the Bible he is Manasses (ends by S)?
Such differences in writing the names of the Biblical persons are definitely changing the pronunciations of the names of those persons.

Verse No. 10 in the Noble Quran is Chapter 2:1, Surah Surah AL-BAQARA (THE COW), verse 2:3
In the previous article, verse 2:2 says: this is the Book that Muhammad is reciting to you; whereof there is no doubt that it has come from Allah; if you believe in it, Allah shall guide you, but if you do not believe in it, Allah will torment you. This Book, the Quran is a favor to the believers; it is a guidance for the cautious who fear Allah, namely, those that tend towards piety by adhering to commands and avoiding things prohibited, thereby guarding themselves from the Eternal Fire.
These criteria of the believers are about their faith that is the duty of the heart.
But, what about their deeds? What they are doing?
Verse 2:3 talks about their deeds,
Verse 2:3 says:
Those who believe in the unseen, that which is hidden from them such as the Angels, Paradise, hell, the Bridge over hell, the Scale, the Resurrection, the Reckoning, the Eternal Fire etc. It is also said that this means: that they believe in the unseen which is revealed in the Quran and also in that which is not revealed therein.
It is also said that the unseen is Allah Himself.
And establish worship, they perform to completion the five prescribed prayers, including the ablution that precedes them, the bowing and prostrations which are parts of them and also what is obligated in these prayers in terms of appointed timing.
And spend of that Allah has bestowed upon them, and of that which Allah has given them of wealth they give to charity. It is also said that this means: they give the poor-due from their wealth.
