The N97 comes in two beautiful silver and black casings both of which look very elegant. Its a bit bulky at 150 grams but compared to the features installed on it, weight is never an issue. It's sleek and well proportioned with dimensions of 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm which makes it easy to carry. There is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard which is angled to the user for better vision. The Nokia N97 has a stunning 3.5 inch TFT resistive touchscreen which can display an amazing 16M colours at a high colour resolution of 360 x 640 pixels.

The MP3/WMA/WAV/eAAC+ music player delivers excellent sound quality and makes listening to music a whole different experience. It has a Stereo FM radio with RDS and Visual radio. Gamers need not fret as the Nokia N97 comes with the most interesting games which the user can play for hours on end. The user even has the option of downloading further games off the net. It has a 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and features like Autofocus, LED flash, video light, etc which give the user crystal clear picture quality. It has the option of video playing and recording as well. There is also a secondary camera at the front which can be used to take part in 3G video-calls with other users.

Equipped with the advanced Symbian OS, it works on a quad band (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100 network. Connectivity features include 3G HSPDA, GPRS, HSCSD, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth technology and a USB port which also help in transferring data between compatible devices and high speed internet access. Internal memory is an astounding 32 GB expandable by another 16 GB which gives the user more than enough space to store his data. Fully charged, the Nokia N97 gives a talktime of 9.5 hours, a standby time of 432 hours and a music playback time of 40 hours.
