Cryomassages are essentially a handy tool that enables you to get a spot massage like you would from a massage therapist. These handy tools are a gift from technology that allow you to get the treatment afforded one in a hospital or rehab center, but you can do it on the go, in the privacy of your own home or office, and can use it as often as you like. The machine is a small hand held device that utilizes cold and electronic steam. If you've ever had to undergo any kind of therapy for a serious injury, particularly one that affected muscle structure or muscle mass, you are probably familiar with the wonders of electric steam massage, followed by hot and cold, alternated, to relax and numb the muscles. In some cases, the heat or the cold is applied during the electric steam massage. These machines that perform the cryomassage utilize the electric steam and the freezing sensation.

The device itself is a tiny handheld device which can be used after four hours of freezing in a simple freezer. It looks like a little hair curler but applies electric steam to a small isolated area where there is muscle pain. Steam is simple directed electric current that can be increased or decreased to stimulate a muscle. Cryomassage passes electric current through a cold device. The effect can be enhanced by applying a cold freezing gel to the affected spot, similar to the icy part of IcyHot that will enhance the steam procedure. The beauty is, that you can do it in little doses whenever and wherever you need it, applying it as you work or run errands or take care of daily issues. There's no need to break up your day and take time and energy to go to a rehab center or doctors office to have the procedure done. You simply break out the cryomassage device and apply it as needed.

Of course this wonderful bit of technology is handy and effective for small aches and pains, but the fact of the matter is, if you have severe issues or serious, chronic pain, nothing short of a doctor or physical therapist is going to help you for long. One should be consulted right away for any such disorder that is serious. But cryomassages are perfect for people on the move or with hectic lifestyles that require basic therapy. It can help you to lead a normal active life without having to see a therapist three or four times a week, week in and week out. It can certainly do the trick while you are traveling even if you have more severe pain, and there are other t5hings, such as applying a heat pad after using the device, that can further help alleviate aches and pains.

In the end, it's always nice to have a massage or sit in a hot tub or get a good solid workout to get rid of serious kinks and pain once in awhile, but this bit of technology can certainly help make life much more pain free.
