You are likely to get a bracing shot of whiskey-tinged wit and a taste of sugar & spice in the songs of Kate Nash. This promising 20-year old English singer & song writer was born at Middlesex in England. She has often been compared to Lily Allen due to her distinctive London accent, dry sense of humour and storytelling lyrics.

Nash's debut album was a double-A side Single which was released through independent record label Moshi in February 2007. The album initially was available only on 7" vinyl format and had 1000 copies. Due to popular demand of the album, another 1000 copies were produced and they too were sold very quickly. The A-side of the album had the song "Caroline's Victim," which is based on her friend Caroline.

A video of the song received notable airplay time on MTV2 television channel. The video featured Nash playing a variety of musical instruments while her friend Caroline was featured "playing killer beats", trying on different outfits and sitting at her computer checking a social networking site. The B-side of the Single had "Birds." It is an acoustic number that tells the story of a boy that tries to convey his feelings to his girlfriend. The girl, on the other hand remains despondent to the situation.

Nash has performed at several music festivals like the Isle of Wight Festival, Latitude Festival, O2 Wireless Festival and Glastonbury Festival. She has also played at Oxygen and Leeds music festivals. She made her official TV performance debut in "Later with Jools Holland."

Nash features in rapper Kano's album "London Town" and Lethal Bizzle's latest album "Back to Bizznizz." Her popular Singles include Caroline's Victims, Mouthwash, Pumpkin Soup and Foundations. Her recently released album "Made of Bricks" has been a great success and has already sold nearly 60,000 copies.
