If you are like most people, you don't drink enough water every day. There are many people just like you who just don't drink as much water as they need each day. And there are many reasons why they don't get enough water daily.

Some people don't know how much water is enough to drink each day. Some people say that they don't like the 'taste' of water. Some people say it isn't convenient to drink water throughout their workday. Some people say that they don't fit into a social circle if they drink water instead of pop, or coffee, tea or alcoholic drinks.

And some people think that there is a simple formula to use to determine how much water you need to drink each day. Not so easy. There are even factors beyond how you see fitting drinking water into your daily routines that will determine how much water you will drink each day. Take into consideration some of these many factors that may play a part in determining how much water you need: your gender, your age, your physical condition, whether or not you are a pregnant or lactating mother, an athlete or if you have a physical condition that would keep you from drinking much more than a minimal amount of water. You can talk with your family doctor, or a registered dietitian or nutritionist they can help you determine how much water you need to drink every day.

There are other things that may keep you from drinking the amount of water you need each day. And they may be the things that influence you the most when it comes to not drinking your daily quota of water. Think about the things that make drinking other types of liquids enjoyable As a coffee or tea drinker you may have a special cup or mug that you use. Or you may have a special blend of coffee or tea that you enjoy brewing. You may have a certain time each day for drinking your beverage. You may enjoy your cup of coffee or tea with family or friends at the same time each day.

Here are a few ideas to help make drinking water every day a tasty and special thing to do for yourself, with family and friends, or even during a quiet time on your own.

1.Add a drop or two of natural flavorings to your glass of water. Some flavors to experiment with are citrus flavors. Make sure that the flavorings are for eating, or adding to food items (food grade).

2.Add a tablespoon or two of a natural fruit juice, such as cranberry to a glass and fill up the rest of the glass with water.

3.Steep no caffeine herbal tea and dilute 1:1 with water and add ice for a refreshing drink.

4.Use a special glass for drinking your water. A crystal water goblet or a beautifully designed pewter goblet will make drinking water a special experience.

5.Make having a glass of cold sparkling water with added ice cubes a special time with family and friends.
