American Troika Hits The Ground Running

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8

Well I hate to say I told you so... It seems that the Troika is planning to hit the ground running. I must admit; even though I predicted in the American Troika article that; "Executive orders will be flying from the oval office like a swarm of angry killer bees" and I wrote; "In the first year of an Obama presidency, you will see the most radical change to the American culture and landscape that you could possibly imagine. He hasn't even been inaugurated yet but
It seems that John Podesta, Mr. Obama's transition chief said Sunday:

"There's a lot that the president can do using his executive authority without waiting for congressional action, and I think we'll see the president do that," Podesta said. "I think that he feels like he has a real mandate for change. We need to get off the course that the Bush administration has set."

Podesta said Sunday; that Mr. Obama is reviewing President Bush's executive orders. One of Bush's first acts was to reinstate full abortion restrictions on U.S. overseas aid. He also limited federal money marked for embryonic stem cell research. These are a couple of issues Mr. Obama is looking to "change".

"Obama's advantage of course is he'll have the House and the Senate working with him, and that makes it easier," said Carl Tobias, a law professor at the University of Richmond. " Tobias also remarked; Executive orders "have the power of law and they can cover just about anything,"

I also said in the article that we were heading for a fully controlled, leftist cooperative media, that will do all that it can to suppress negative information on the Obama administration. Again, I did not think that they would be so bold as to announce that they are totally in the bag for Obama.

Chris Matthews shocked even Joe Scarborough with that revelation. We knew Obama gave him a thrill, but he's acting like he wants to start picking out curtains with the Obamas.

The majority of the media are not going to be so obvious...What am I talking about; how much more obvious could the media have been in their boundless devotion to Obama. The Obama sycophants just thought it was normal.

On This Week with George Stephanopolous, Rahm Emanuel, the new Obama administrations Chief of Staff, offered that he thought John McCain was a "true patriot" and that he felt that Mr. McCain would be supportive of Mr. Obama, and that he would be a "partner" in helping to solve the nations ills. Thats probably all true, and it was awful magnanimous for Rahm to say so in the spirit of a non-political, unbiased, approach to finding solutions.

Then you have Senate Majority Leader, give em hell Harry Reid, on Late Edition saying to guest host John King that it would be okay with him if Obama decided to keep President Bush's Defense Secretary Robert Gates;

"He's not even a Republican," Harry said. "Why wouldn't we want to keep him? He's never been a registered Republican."

Sniff, sniff, what?, No I am not crying; I just got something in my eye. It's just that when you hear talk like that from Harry, it just kinda gets ya. Such warmth, that feeling of love and bipartisanship that we all, left and right, were promised. I feel united.
