DVD Rental by Mail

If the only thing that's keeping you from renting all the movies you wish is lack of time, then you'll be pleased to know about the latest innovation in e-commerce: DVD rental by post.

DVD rental by post is one of the newest services offered by e-commerce sites today. Because people are getting busier (and in some cases, lazier) than ever, video renting stores offer this service to ensure that their customers can avail themselves of their products even from the comfort of home.

Where to Rent

Choose a website where you wish to rent videos from. Some websites are able to rent out the latest movies earlier than others while there are a number of websites that simply specialize in renting out rare and hard-to-find movies.

Choose a Package

Some shops allow you to borrow only two DVDs per month for a certain amount while others allow you to rent up to six DVDs every month. Return policies may differ so make sure to inquire about them as well. Quite a few shops, for instance, allow you to rent DVDs and return them before month's end. If you're not able to return DVDs on or before the given date, you are obliged to purchase the DVDs.

Borrowing and Returning

Choose a movie and add it to your rental queue. The DVDs you pick out will be sent immediately to your home via first-class post. Delivery costs for DVD returns are free so all you have to do is send them back when you're finished watching them. Once the DVDs have been returned, the next movies on your list will then be sent to you.

The Only Downside

The postal service may be unreliable at times, so waiting for your DVDs to arrive at your doorstep may take a while. If this becomes a concern, you can simply walk a few blocks to your neighborhood video rental shop and pick out the movies you want.
