Reading the critiques of Hume, there are some events which Hume considers as the miracles. In his critiques he discredits a lot of miracles. There are some events from the American Bible that can be illustrated as miracles, Hume shows his personal point of view as for this events. These are the stories: Noah's Ark and the Burning Bush. The first well-known story of Noah's Ark took place when God started to understand that the men's evilness became very great on Earth. He regretted that he created the man on Earth. The only way out of how to get rid of the evilness was the destruction of all people and all living beings on Earth. The only man who should not be destroyed was Noah with his family, wife, sons and the wives of sons. One more condition was saving the pair of animals of each kind. The rest people and living beings had to be perished from the Earth. God has chosen Noah among all people, to execute this task. God requested Noah to build the ark, explained how it should be made. The story says that Noah built this ark for sixty years. It was very hard task but Noah knew it was very important, because the lives of many living beings depended on him.
At last, when the ark was ready, God told Noah that it was high time to group the chosen animals as the floods were coming. These floods continued for forty days and forty nights. It was something incredible and destroying as these floods wiped out all beings on Earth, except those that were in the ark. When the flood ceased, and Earth began to dry, it seemed that new life were about to begin. Then Noah chose only clean animals and offered holocaust on the alter. After this God said that he would never destroy the Earth because of man as men had evil desires.
