Christian icebreakers can open up a world of opportunities for you and your small group. Imagine being able to skip past all of the awkwardness that comes with a new group and get right to the fun stuff. This is what a good icebreaker can do for your group. When you do this correctly, no one will feel weird or uncomfortable with the situation. You can't rightly develop a relationship with others without knowing something about them. If you don't have any icebreakers to use, check out some of these for your next gathering.

Here are some things that you can do to help get everyone comfortable in a group.

1. Rock Band tournament- Almost everyone these days is playing Rock Band. Either they love to be the lead singer, play the guitar, or pound the drums and this is a great way to show it off. This is a fantastic way to get everyone having fun in no time. Divide everyone up into bands and start rocking out. You might want to pre-select the songs so you can make sure that they're clean.

2. Who am I? - This game is pretty simple, but fun at the same time. Write down the names of a bunch of famous people on pieces of paper and place them in a bowl. Let everyone select one and then tape it to their forehead without them seeing it. The objective is to go around and ask people questions about your person. They can only be "yes" or "no" questions. First one to guess their person wins.

3. I've never done that before- Give everyone 10 pieces of candy to start the game. Take turns going around a circle and telling things that you've never done before. When someone else in the group has done that action before, they have to put a piece of candy in the bowl. The last person with candy wins.

These are just a few different methods that you can use to break the ice for your next group function. Christian icebreakers are a fantastic way to break down the barriers that separate everyone in a group. When you can get everyone talking and sharing a good time, you'll be well on your way to having a successful group function. With the familiarization process out of the way, you can move on to bigger and brighter things for your Christian group.
