"The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne - Should I Buy the Book or the DVD?

Oprah Winfrey says she lives by it, Rhonda Byrne says the greatest people in history - Plato, Newton, Beethoven, Shakespeare and even Einstein knew and used "The Secret". Now it's your turn to learn the principles contained in "The Secret"!

You've probably heard that there are a DVD and a book and are wondering what is the difference and which one should you buy? I have recently purchased both so I can help.

"The Secret" Book
184 pages are filled with great information on the law of attraction - from people that use it everyday. People like Jack Canfield the creator of the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series and Lee Brower the CEO of Empowered Wealth explain the various techniques and concepts of the secret. There are some great (but simple) diagrams in the book that are not on the DVD that really help understand the concepts.

"The Secret" DVD
The DVD is basically the people featured in the book reading about 90% of the book to you. The missing 10% are the inspirational quotes and summaries from the book. Strangely enough the author, Rhonda Byrne, does make an appearance (or 2) but does not speak to the viewer like the other people.

There are some interesting special features on the DVD such as: Behind the Scenes, Deleted Sequences, Outtakes and more.

What to Buy?
Buy both - but which one you buy first depends on you. If you are a person who regularly reads books, I recommend you buy the book ($19.95 at your local bookstore) first. If you are a person who does not read books regularly - buy the DVD ($29.95 which can only be purchased from www.thesecret.tv) first. If you want to share "The Secret" experience with other friends and family members, I recommend buying the DVD first - as it would be hard for all of you to read the same book at once.

Don't even bother wasting your time calling the electronic/movie departments at Best Buy, Circuit City, Target or Wal-Mart to see if they have the DVD - it's a waste of time! I know I called every one of these store within a 30 mile radius from me looking for this DVD. It was frustrating. Believe me you can ONLY buy this DVD from the website.

Now if you really, really want to watch the movie right now and cannot wait for the DVD to arrive (mine came in 4 business days) you can watch the entire movie one time through the website for $4.95. As long as you are on a constant connection (Broadband, DSL) you should have no problem watching the movie online.
