Nokia 6500 Slide and 5610 Xpress, sliding masterpieces

We take a look at Nokia's 2 sliding wonders, the 6500 Slide and 5610 Xpress.

Nokia 6500 Slide comes with advanced multimedia features. The handset comes with an integrated media player that can be used to run quite a number of different multimedia applications. The incorporation of a graphic equalizer ensures that the sound output is good; and combined with headphones; the sound emanating from the Nokia 6500 Classic would satisfy many a people with a passion for good music.

The handset comes with an in-built 3.2mega-pixel digital camera that is empowered with Carl Zeiss optics. The imaging options can be used for capturing images, and video clips. One can also use the Nokia 6500 Classic for video playback and video streaming. With good call quality, a decent battery life, and 6 hours talk time, Nokia 6500 Slide is an interesting mobile phone that offers users the full value for their money.


The Nokia 5610 Xpress Music is a little different than the 5310.the Nokia 5610 Xpress Music is slider hand set, also available in red or blue. It is a bulkier model than the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music, with dimensions of 99 mm height, 49 mm width and 17 mm thickness. It also weighs more at 110 grams. The Nokia 5610 Xpress Music has a sliding control just above the toggle button that starts the music player with a single swipe. This is unlike the music buttons mounted on the side on the 5310.

The Nokia 5610 Xpress Music is also different from the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music in the sense that it has a 3.2 mega pixel camera with a flash. The 5610 also supports 3G bands which are used in North America, Europe and Australia. Therefore, only one quad band version (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) is available unlike the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music which is available in two tri band versions.

Both the Nokia 6500 Slide and Nokia 5610 Xpress are available now.
