Building a network of customers opens plenty of opportunities to increase your sales and revenues.  And the effect of this network can be multiplied many times over if each of these persons will recommend you to their own networks of people.  This is through referrals.  Referrals are particularly useful if your business involves service.

Referrals are forms of suggestions that someone provides to another, a way of passing on information about you based on satisfactory performance.  If you are currently serving 5 customers and every one of them finds your offerings good, they could refer your company to other people.  If each of these 5 pleased customers would recommend you to one of their friends and all 5 of them would respond favorably, you automatically double your number of customers!

To take advantage of the power of referrals, you can make use of full color prints such as business cards, flyers, brochures and pamphlets -- all of which are just single-paged and hence inexpensive.

Business cards

Having this small piece of print material can certainly work well if you would like to bank on referrals.

Business cards are a good tool when it comes to personal marketing.  They offer a small and inexpensive way for people to gain more information about you and your company but the effects are anything but minor.  By utilizing your business cards well, you can maximize their effect and positively contribute to better company performance in terms of revenue.

Nowadays, there are options with business card printing that allow you to print on both sides, either in color or with black ink only.  The clear benefit of this is that you can add more to your card aside from the usual contact details such as phone number and address.  You can actually add the list of services you offer at the back of the card, making referrals easier to accomplish for your loyal and happy customers.

Giving each customer an excess copy of your business card means they have one at their disposal.  They can easily give this to their friends who they feel would benefit most from your services.  All they need to say is how well you carried out the job and the rest of the info can be filled in by your business card.  Make sure that you go for full color prints to add even more appeal to your cards.

Flyers, brochures and pamphlets

These print materials do not focus on you or your company but zero in on what you and your company offers.

These materials provide spaces for a comprehensive overview of your company's services.  Since they are folded and one-paged only, they are small and lightweight, and can be easily handed out to others.

Aside from your list of services, there is enough room to include a price list, descriptions of each service plus other useful information such as location map, testimonies and images.

Create colored and well-designed handouts so that it would entice the recipients to really go over the contents and hopefully, lead to inquiries and actual request for services.

There's actually more to a referral than having the full color prints to help spread the word.  You have to make customers satisfied first.  Only then will you be able to enjoy this persuasive yet free advertising tool.
