Manuka Honey is produced in New Zealand by bees that utilize the nectar of the flowers that grow on the Manuka tree. It is believed that this unique floral nectar contains healing properties not found in other types of honey. These amazing healing qualities have made Manuka Honey quite a commodity.

Studies have shown that Manuka Honey does wonder for the skin. It has the ability to destroy bacteria, heal damaged skin, regenerate new skin growth, eliminate impurities, etc. Manuka Honey is also considered to be a humectant which means it has the ability to draw moisture from the air and lock it into skin cells. This makes Manuka Honey a natural moisturizing agent.

Manuka Honey has been used to treat a variety of skin ailments including acne, fungal infections (including ringworm, athlete's foot, jock itch, etc.), dermatitis (including eczema, psoriasis, etc.), burns, dry skin, bacterial infections (including MRSA, Staph, VRE, etc.) as well as other skin conditions. Using soap that contains Manuka Honey can not only help to treat any of these conditions but it can also help to prevent them as well.

"Many of our customs who shower with our Manuka Honey Soap say that they don't even bother to use a moisturizer afterwards," says Frank Buonanotte, CEO of Honeymark International. "The Manuka Honey in this soap acts as a deep moisturizer that eliminates any dry spots that may be present on the surface of the skin."
