If there's anybody that knows about The Science of Getting Rich, it's Bob Proctor.
He had been in the personal development industry since the late 60s. He started back in 1961. People will think he is 150 years old. He was on the fire department in a suburb of Toronto, in East York, and he was given a copy of Think and Grow Rich. And at that time his life turned right upside down.
He was earning $4,000 a year at the time. He owed $6,000, and he was not a happy camper. He had no formal education, He had not really gone to school, he had dead end jobs, he had been in and out of the Navy, and life just was not very good.

But this was life and he thought this was all there was. He try and get by. Until he was given Think and Grow Rich, and the man that gave it to him told him that if he would do what the man said, that his whole life would change. Well, of course he did not believe that. But he had tried a lot of other things and he had thought; he will give it a try.

One year later he was earning $175,000 a year and then he took it over to a million. It took him nine years to figure out what happened to him.
That's really what got him studying. The change was so dramatic. Think and Grow Rich, Hill says, "Decide what you want, write it on a card, carry the card with you, read it as often as possible every day, at least every morning when you get up and before you to go to bed at night."

So, he started to do that. And he wrote on the card that he wanted to have in his possession by New Year's Day of 1970, $25,000. He gave himself a decade to do it. He did not believe it would happen.

But years later, looking back, prior to the card he was thinking of debt all the time. If you are thinking of debt, that's what you are going to attract.
And as he started to read this card, it got him thinking of earning money. Before that he was thinking debt. That's the polar opposite.

And because he started to think about it, he started to hear people talk about it. And when he heard them talking about it, that would cause him to think more about it.
And, see, his thinking changed and his life changed. We can also be like him. Your mindset will influence your action and your action will determine your life.
