When marketing on the internet it is always a good idea to determine any promotional plan well in advance of implementing it. In fact it is even better to put together your entire online marketing strategy together for the entire year.

Here is a simple 5 step plan you can use to schedule your entire year out in advance. This will help you better coordinate your marketing efforts to take advantage of seasonal sales.

Make a List of the Holidays

Reviewing the year in advance take note of special holiday events such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, the 4th of July and so on. Also note seasonal changes and how that affects people's activities. Focus on things such as water sports, hunting, college or professional sporting events and any other type of extracurricular activities normally carried out at specified times of the year.

Establish Specific Dates for Promotional Activity

Looking at the list you have compiles I bet it is pretty long isn't it? Good since the longer it is the better it will be for your promotional schedule.

Now focus on specifics dates as to when your preparations for particular holidays or events should begin. Obviously these preparations should be scheduled enough in advance to give you plenty of time to make all the necessary arrangements.

Schedule Your Product Preparation

Put Together Promotional Materials

Implement Plans upon Each Scheduled Date

With all your preparations completed it is now time to implement each program as the appropriate date arrives. Do not get caught 'snoozing' and let any dates slip by since it would be a shame to have wasted all your planning and preparation efforts.
