Why Pay For Building A List When You Can Get It Free?

When you consider various ways to build your Internet business you generally are faced with free or paid advertising to drive traffic to your site. The same is true when it comes to building a list for future follow.

Here are a couple of things to consider about building the list when it comes to spending your money.

You can certainly buy leads and have them imported into your autoresponder. Co-registration leads for example are an excellent way to jump start your list. This may or may not be a long term solution for you however depending on your budget.

One thing you can definitely do is build your list for free using various Internet marketing methods. You will have an investment of time to do any of these, but your out of pocket expenses are nothing.

1. Use article marketing to build your list. Write and submit articles to the top article directories and then include a resource box at the bottom of each one.

Your resource box should direct your visitors to a landing page where you are going to give them something valuable in exchange for joining your list. This is a very easy way to build your list for free and can really pay off for you over time as you get more articles online.

2. Create an ebook and give it away for free. Allow people that you give it to pass it on as well. Within the ebook include links were a person can receive something else of value from you such as a free report or software.

The only catch is they have to give you their name and email address to get it. This is a form of viral marketing that doesn't cost you anything and can help you build a large list thru the efforts of others.

3. Blogging is a great way to build a list today. Be sure and social bookmark each blog post that you make which will create traffic and search engine bait.

You want to have a sign up form to your mailing list on every blog post that you make. An easy way to do that is to put your sign-up form right on the sidebar of your blogging platform. Then it will automatically be included every time you write a blog article.

These are three ways you can build a list, and it will cost you nothing more than your time. Whether you buy your leads or create them yourself, you definitely want to spend a good portion of your Internet marketing time building a list.
