Are you a solopreneur, coach or service professional and new to internet marketing? Are you looking for ways to boost your online business without a sales force to help you?

You will find autoresponders may be the solution you are looking for. Put simply, an autoresponder is email marketing software that enables you to send out prewritten emails automatically. Basically, it works like this, a visitor arrives at your web site and is encouraged to sign up for your free introductory offer, it could be an electronic newsletter or ezine, a special report or a list of your top tips.

They are asked to provide their name and email address in an opt-in box, or a sign-up box. You should know however, it is really important for them to give you their permission to contact them by email. As without their permission, you could be branded as a 'spammer' which would be disastrous for your business.

Using the autoresponder software, you will have prewritten an email thanking them for signing up, which is sent out immediately. This means you can stay in touch with the people who have shown an interest in your products or services at regular intervals, without even being home!

Here are a few ways you can benefit from autoresponders:

1. Create an E-course

Schedule a series of emails to go out daily, every other day, or even weekly offering great information on how you can solve their problems.

2. Launch a new product

Send out a series of autoresponders several days before the launch. Include all the great benefits and features and any special offers or time limited offers.

3. Send out an electronic newsletter or ezine

Regularly keep your visitors up to date with what is going on in your online business. Remember, you are building a relationship with your prospective customers.

4. Send out a series of Top 10 tips

Schedule a ' tip a day' by email to keep in touch with the people on your list

So you see, the simple little autoresponder can become a welcome part of your sales force, even when you are asleep.
