High Performance Models Grace the 40th Anniversary of Mercedes-benz
In celebration of the 40th year of Mercedes-Benz it has showcased some of its high performance models. Lee Boyle, Regional Sales Manager, Mercedes-AMG, Middle East, "The new top-of-the-line-model, the CL 65 AMG with its powerful V12 biturbo engine delivering 612 hp and 1000 Newton metres of torque, represents the ultimate in driving dynamics and is limited to just 40 vehicles."
The new CLK 63 AMG Black Series represents the shift from motorsport in its purest form. It possesses strong visual and technological similarity with the official F1™ safety car. This super car coupe is equipped with a sophisticated cooling technology that is coupled with new AMG sports suspension that features a spring and shock absorber units coil springs. This V8-engined two-seater 507 hp coupe also comes equipped with all the right stuffs for a strenuous workout on the racing circuit.
Another member of the CL-class has joined the celebration---the new CL 65 AMG which is the third AMG model to be given the powerful AMG 6.0 liter V12 biturbo engine under its hood. This exclusive high-performance car can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reached 200 km/h in a matter of 13.3 seconds.
The CL65 AMG is also the first production vehicle of Mercedes-Benz subjected in AMG Alubeam finished. This one-of-a-kind paint finish provides color with the illusion of a liquid metal and appears even more vibrant by reflecting the light in a particular way. Also inside the 40th Anniversary version of the CL 65 AMG is an impressive combination of two-tone all nappa-leather appointments in the new V12 diamond pattern highlighted with carbon-fiber trim.
In addition, the CLK 63 AMG Black Series makes its mark with other highlights and just like the 40th Anniversary limited-edition CL 65 AMG, it was also built in the AMG Performance Studio. The CLK 63 AMG is a two-seater V8 coupe that takes its styling cue from the official F1™ safety car that joined the Formula 1 World Championship races. Its AMG 6.3 liter V8 unit whose power was increased to 507 hp enables the car to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a matter of 4.3 seconds. The CLK 63 AMG was carefully groomed for the race track. The coupe's sophisticated cooling system enables it endure extreme driving conditions.
The cars unbending exterior tone extends up to the interior of the CLK 63 AMG. Inside the CLK 63 AMG is an AMG sports bucket seats which was based on the ECE version, there is also the presence of an AMG performance steering wheel with oval rim and diameter of 365 millimeters, and carbon-fiber trim on the center console. The combination of the AMG instrument cluster and the interior door paneling creates the functional air of an authentic racing car which makes you want to grip to a Mercedes Mercedes seat belt since you know the power that the car can unleash.
