A Little Bit of Stress Can Be Good For You
If your a college student, you know exactly how stress can work as a motivator. Stessful situations occur all the time. There are times when deadlines are pressing and you have only a certain amount of time to get them done. I guess that's why they're called deadlines. Some students call them "dreadlines."
"Dreadlines" or deadlines are the highest cause of stress while in school. Teachers expect certain things from you and they don't just take something thrown together in two minutes. Give yourself a helping hand by preparing for your project and managing your time well. If you know there is going to be a project due at the end of the semester start it early. Don't wait until the last minute to do it. Know your boundries and know your breaking point.
How does one know their breaking point? Well, you could take all of the stress you can handle until you finally "break." That is strongly not advised. It will cause so much tension in your mind and body that it will be unbearable. Just know that you have a breaking point. That's all you need to know when it comes to testing your break point. Don't venture out to exploit it, because it's just more stressful.
Some people work better while stressed. I'm one of these types. I work best when I know there is a deadline pressing and it brings the best out in me. I know what I can accomplish in a very short time and some people can do this with ease. Just remember to relax and use stress wisely.
