There is nothing wrong with doing things yourself in business if you can mange it. Many folks do try and take on all of the different aspects of running and marketing their business. The fact is that many people that try this then realize that it is a very tough task. The day to day activities of a business tales many hours and then when you put the added effort of trying to do the search engine optimization, link building and all the other marketing stuff, it can simply be too much.

The problem with doing it all is that you can't do all that and have it be well done. If you don't do a good enough job running your business you will run into trouble and that could mean losing customers. If you don't find success with the SEO work and the links then you are going to have a hard time getting new customers too. At the very least do yourself a favor and have someone else take on some of this so that you will got the strong authoritative links that you need and the content that is rich and will work for you.

It is not uncommon for people to think that they don't want to buy content or even text links because if they are doing things themselves they should be able to take care of that too. This is something that would typically be done by a good SEO firm and if you are resistant to hiring one of these you probably don't have anyone writing for you either. There is a reason why people hire out this work. It takes a lot of time and you have to stay on top of it.

After all, in order to cultivate links that occur naturally you must develop a business relationship with many prospective companies and then sit around hoping that eventually those relationships develop into link exchanges. It can be a grueling and never ending process.

It might be good advice to write the content yourself because no one knows your business like you do. That does not mean at all though that you will have the time and energy to do this with all of the other responsibilities. And yes if you have the time to let your links grow naturally that is great for your business. The problem is though that we don't have the time for this. There is a whole lot involved in your business and if you are going to pay someone to make it easier for you then this is a good thing to hire out for.

Some people don't think you should buy text links. But saving time and energy while acquiring the backlinks that you need is a smart idea.
