If you're wondering how to choose the best men's skin care products, I have some advice for you.  Skin care for men and women is not totally different. But most males have some unique challenges, especially when it comes to their faces. Let's see what they are.

Most guys spend a lot of time outdoors.  So, there faces are exposed to the sun and other elements.  That can also be damaging.  But, there are little things that you can do to protect your skin's appearance and its overall health.  Let's start by taking a look at the skincare products you are currently using.

What's In There?

Open up your bathroom cabinet and take a look in your shower.  Are you currently using the best men's skin care solutions?  You can tell by looking at the ingredients.

Shaving and Skin Care For men

If your shaving cream contains petrolatum, it is doing more harm than good.  If your aftershave is alcohol-based, it is damaging your appearance, as well.

In some ways, skin care for men, should be gentler than skincare for women. This is because shaving causes damage, irritation, redness and itching.  For a shaving lubricant, try plain grape seed oil, you can buy it at any health food store.  For aftershave, use witch hazel or a product that contains it.  Some I know use almond oil for aftershave.

Showering

For showering, try manuka honey bars or tea tree oil.  They are natural antibacterial solutions that are non-damaging.    Now, how about some "anti-aging" advice?

Use a Moisturizer Every Day

Complete skin care for men should include a daily moisturizer, even if you think you have problems with oiliness.  If you do, it is likely caused by the products you are currently using.  If you have a tendency to break out, I am almost certain that it is caused by them.

The best men's skin care moisturizers will not cause excessive greasiness and they will not lead to break-outs.  Daily moisturizing skin care for men should take the place of your aftershave, except you won't just "slap it on".

Witch hazel, as I mentioned before, is one important ingredient, as it has natural antiseptic activity that won't burn or cause redness like alcohols do.  It will help prevent infection in shaving nicks and cuts.

The best men's skin care moisturizer contains capuacu butter, since it provides protection from the sun and helps heal razor burn or sunburn.  Vitamin B-5 is included should be included in complete skin care for men, because it helps repair tissue damage, something that almost always accompanies shaving.

In addition, vitamin B5 is a natural moisturizer and enhances the tanning process.  A light tan protects you from sun damage.

Not only is grape seed oil a good shaving lubricant, it is also an effective antioxidants.  Antioxidants help ward off wrinkling and the other signs of aging.  Grape seed is also moisturizing and effective moisturizers keep your skin firm and elastic, another important factor in countering the aging process.

The best men's skin care solutions contain all of the ingredients mentioned here, but nothing that could do any damage, at all.  Shop for safety, first and your face will say, "thanks". See http://www.AHealthyRadiantskin.com
