Global Warming and Pollution; Meaningless Talk Without Discussing China Too
Well with regards to China, I do not blame China for their short term play of continuing to burn coal, allow coal mine fires to rage on or using oil for fuel for economic growth. Nor do I totally blame China for the money valuation games to insure their continued growth, yes it is not a level playing field, but they are indeed doing what is best for them right? Most nations do.
Understanding the Eastern Culture, I do not necessarily blame them for pirating of our technologies although personally it upsets me being on the receiving end as an innovator. No matter what they are doing what they believe is in their best interests as the Treasure Fleet goes sailing again Admiral Zheng style. But like John Nash says that is a short-term win for a long term Lose/Lose.
It is unfortunate for such long-term thinking in China's past that they cannot see past this hurdle. They know what they should be doing to insure stability in World Relations. Nevertheless, they need to come clean literally (environmentally), and that currency needs to float just like the rest of their Navy or the whole thing end up at the bottom of sea in the 280-mile dead zones off the coasts of Shanghai and Beijing.
You know I do not take sides either, but I do know that this Great Nation need not end up like Great Britain, which only has "great" in its name now. Will we be adding "Great" to our name too to save face or is the level playing field a potential eventuality in the here and now?
