Why You Should Consider a Natural Eye Moisturizer
Have you ever imagined living in a city where the humidity frequently rises to the level of 90%? Someone living in such a location would not expect to need a natural eye moisturizer. Or would they? Still, one day in the early 1970s, a physician in the humid environment of Houston, Texas met with a patient who should have been using a natural eye moisturizer. The skin around her eyes demanded the healing powers of a prescription moisturizer.
How did the skin around the eyes of that young girl get so terribly dry? That must have been the question that ran through the mind of that doctor as he examined his patient. In order to seek an answer to the question in his brain, he began to ask his patient a few standard questions.
The doctor tried to determine when and how the young lady's eyes had become so dry. She had developed scaling and flaking on the skin around her eyes. The young patient indicated that the extreme dryness around her eyes had first appeared after she had spent a good number of hours looking through the dual lenses of a microscope.
In other words, she had been indoors for long stretches of time. Moreover, she had been in a place where there were a number of strong chemicals. She mentioned that she repeatedly worked with some of those chemicals. She could have touched her eyes, after touching an especially strong chemical.
Still, the doctor did not want to jump to conclusions. He needed to be sure that his patient had not use a harsh soap while bathing. He asked his patient about the type of soap that she put on her skin. He found that she always purchased and used a mild soap.
Eventually, the doctor managed to determine the probable cause for the dry skin around this woman's eyes. He wrote out a prescription for a strong moisturizer. Yet the doctor made no mention of what the patient might do after using that prescription moisturizer. He made no reference to the benefits of a natural eye moisturizer.
Today, a physician whose patient had presented him or her with a similar case would be able to suggest an online search for information about the existing moisturizing products. Today, thanks to the efforts of research scientists, a top of the line eye moisturizer containing at least five proven ingredients was found, all of which were extracted from a gift of nature.
Such a moisturizer would no doubt contain babassu, a natural emollient, a substance that can soften the skin near the eye without exposing the eye to an excessive amount of oil.
It might well contain coenzyme Q10, probably in the form of a "nano-emulsion." That natural ingredient has the ability to penetrate down to the deep layers of skin. It engulfs the free radicals that can damage the deep cells. Exposure to irritating chemicals in the environment can lead to production within the skin of free radicals.
Today, a top quality product with natural ingredients for moisturizing the outermost organ of the body would probably contain the emollient known as crodomal CAP. The invisible film that forms on skin treated with that emollient can protect the endothelial cells from dirt and grime.
Finally, that non-synthetic treatment for dry skin would almost certainly contain both natural vitamin E and manuka honey. Both can help to revive dried endothelial cells, even with the sensitive cells around the eyes. Now it's time to start putting these ingredients to the test and find out for yourself how amazing they really are.
