The e-Book Co-Author Debate; Go It Alone or Consider It a Project

As an online article author and writer it has occurred to me that to get my information out to the world it will require using many strategies. So far I have created Online Bulletin Boards, websites and written 10,600 articles and put them online. Indeed, I have co-authored books and written eBooks. In reviewing all this I have identified 94 titles and eBooks I plan on putting together.

Now then I need to thin about the e-Book Co-Author debate. Should I go it alone or consider it a project and enlist co-authors? Sometimes co-authors can add credibility and my editor in chief states that; "Having an expert read your book and offer an endorsement by way of Introduction, then your introduction can be an author's prologue, might be another way."

Indeed, I have considered the "Co-Author Concept" for books on subjects like Religion, War Theory and Global Warming titles. Perhaps even allowing two different views in one book and then let the reader decide? Playing both sides and leave it up to the reader, makes a nice book. I have read many like that and thoroughly enjoyed them. Agreeing to disagree, debate and bring forth information makes a good book actually. And gets back to your theory of the importance of keeping readers interested.

My recruiting co-authors for my eBooks are for those reasons and one other. The ideas, concepts and information flows from my brain, but I am challenged at the attention to details in the methods. So a co-author who is a skilled and professional writer, (I am not a writer, I am an entrepreneur, athlete type, a Doer), this is the type of person that I am hoping for.

What I am indeed really hoping for is to get someone to edit my work and add some of their own expertise too; really flushing out the topics. That was more my thinking. Not so much "looking good" or credibility. That I am way passed now in my life, but as you say the marketing aspect of it all. And getting people to read it all thru as you say. A co-author can assist in this tedious stuff that I have no patience for, more my reasoning, plus help someone else write a book too, boost them as well.

If you are considering co-authoring an eBook then perhaps you might enjoy this dialogue. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
