The laminating machine is used to preserve, protect, and enhance documents, graphics, and photos. There are two different types of laminators, which are the pouch and roll laminators. One of the most popular laminating machines is the H400 PRO. The H400 PRO is a pouch laminator and is very convenient to consumers who do minimal amounts of laminating. Roll laminating machines are targeted to consumers who laminate mass quantities of laminates. The difference between the roll laminator and the pouch laminator would be the size of the laminate and how the laminates affect the lamination.
A pouch laminator of course uses pouches to seal the items of choice. The pouches are convenient when sealing items that correspond to their size. For example, if the consumer were to purchase pouches that were nine by twelve inches, it would be a lot easier for them to laminate documents that were eight by eleven inches because minimal or no cutting will be involved in the process.
A roll laminator uses a big roll of laminate that looks like shrink-wrap. Using the roll laminator is convenient if the consumer is working with multiple pieces with little time. For example, if he or she needed to laminate three photos and two documents within several minutes, it would be easier to place all the items on the wrap and run it through the machine then cut the different pieces apart later on. Consumers who need to produce mass quantities of laminates usually use the roll laminator.
Usage of the laminator is quite simple. When using a pouch laminator, the consumer will need to place the document inside the pouch then run it through the machine and the heat will seal the document. When using a roll laminator, the consumer will need to place one sheet beneath the document and one sheet above in order to create the correct laminate on the document. Offices typically prefer the roll-laminating machine while schools prefer the pouch-laminating machine. The reason for this is because offices typically need to laminate several documents at once to speed up the productivity process. Schools prefer pouches because minimal laminating needs to be done.
