Lets talk a little about golf shoes here in this article. This is an important piece of equipment and many people just go out and buy any old shoe when there is actually quite a bit of information when choosing the best ones for you. Your golf shoes are not only an investment for you but they really do provide the foundation for you golf game. Having the right ones can make your experiences on the course far more enjoyable.

First things first there are spike shoes and spikeless shoes. There are three different types of soles that golf shoes are offered in and those are traditional spikes, alternative spikes or soft spikes and spikeless. With traditional spikes you are getting metal or hard ceramic tips, however have been actually less and les used by many golfers and courses. The alternative spikes are awesome in my opinion they are so comfortable and are the most commonly found shoes on the courses to day, enough said about them, you cant go wrong with these. Finally the third type, and let me tell you are these gaining in popularity. With all of the great technology out there manufacturers are actually creating these soles for spikeless shoes that actually provide great stability and high traction.

Ok so lets get real for a few seconds if you are a beginner, definitely go with the alternative spikes because the traditional are fading more and more and many courses do not even allow them and the new spikeless shoes are still coming around.

Now lets quickly hit on two terms when describing the engineering around these cleats. The first is Bal styles, which feature a V shaped lace opening and offer many styling options. Blucher styles are preferred for high insteps. They also offer for several more ways of lacing the shoe.
