A survey says that every forty-fifth second, somebody loses his or her mobile somewhere in the world. Nearly about 700000 people a year. When you consider the cost of today's mobile phones, over a billion worth of property is lost. If you have costly handset or mobile phone, it is very important to have insurance of your beautiful gadget. Many mobile companies are coming with anti-theft technology, but that is bit lengthy procedure, which requires many investigations and professional skills.

When you lose your mobile phones that is costly, you burn candle from both the sides; firstly you lost the mobile phone and so the money and secondly, you need another mobile immediately to cope up your routine work. These companies not only provide the insurance against the theft but also cover the physical damage to the mobile phone for the genuine reason like accident etc.

Many mobile phone insurance provides necessary protection against the theft, loss and even personal digital assistants (PDAs). The lost mobile phone can be replaced with the same model or if the model is terminated, the model is replaced by some another phone costing same. If the mobile is damaged, it can be repaired free of cost as it comes under insurance policy.

While taking insurance for mobile phone, you need to read the instruction carefully and be sure about the exact amount to be paid for insurance. Insurance companies have their terms and conditions and therefore, it is better to know the policy completely. The premium for the insurance depends on the cost of the mobile phone and the date of purchase. Newer the mobile phone, lesser the premium and if you have very old phone and needs insurance, you may not get it at all.

When your mobile phone gets lost, you need to inform police and mobile phone company to block your mobile phone. This will avoid the misuse of the mobile phone and therefore, it is always advisable that you must put password for carrier and mobile phone to unlock.

Mobile phone insurance gives you security for your lovely gadget or device. It cannot bring all your data and memory back, but it can certainly help you to prevent economical damage.
