Your Breaking Up Process

When you broke up, the last thing you were probably thinking was getting back with your ex and instead, thinking about how bad the break up process was. Most of the times, everyone hates the break up process. It definitely ranks up there as one of the worst things someone can experience.

"We need to talk." I hate that phrase! Why? Because you know "we need to talk" is a sign for something bad and you don't really want to know what. Your boyfriend or girlfriend wants you to sit down with them for a cup of tea. You think that maybe, just maybe they'll compliment about how awesome you are in bed, but it ends up to be a two hour explanation about why they want to break up with you instead!

So what do you do? You do everything you can do convince them that nothing is wrong in the relationship, that they're just going crazy. But from the looks on their face, they seemed to have thought this through. They hand you a paper saying, "Sign your name here for our official break up." As you hold that pen, no amount of "I'll stop being so needy, I'll give you more space, please just not now!" will solve the situation. They've already made up their mind. Whatever you did to make them force you to sign that paper, you probably did something that really ticked them off, or perhaps they're just overreacting and need some space for now. You sign the paper and go on your way thinking that after all that, you're most likely not going to get back with your ex.

How about this scenario? One day, your girlfriend or boyfriend walks in your room and yells, "Get out!" You say, "No." Afterwords, you guys start to have an all out pillow fight against each other (just kidding). You guys start to argue about who didn't pay enough attention to who, "things" are just not working out, the "attraction" just isn't there, and basically the relationships over. Your girlfriend or boyfriend gives you "the eye" and you know exactly what "the eye" is and you don't want to mess with that. You pack your bags and go on you way, and really after that say, "Now there's no way I going to get back with my ex!"

Whether your break up was a tea time conversation that ended up leaving you in tears or getting thrown out of a house that left you yelling at the top of your lungs, the point is breakups aren't meant to be happy. They're meant to suck. The worst part of it is going back home and asking yourself, "Where am I going to put all of this junk!?" Junk refers to your guys' photos, Christmas presents, anniversary presents, birthday presents, gifts from their family and so on. You start to get the firewood ready and sit down and prepare to trash all of your memories of them.

So the fire's cooking. You're ready! You start with photo number one. It's a picture of you and your lover smiling at a park in front of a pond. "Maybe I'll throw this later," you say. That picture was a picture of you guys on a first date. You grab something else - the T-Rex doll which is obviously of no use. "Oh man... but it took them seven tries at the claw machine for them to get this for me... I'll throw this later," you say. Okay now you have to throw something away. You grab that cool Sony digital alarm clock that you got for a Christmas present from them. It's just an alarm clock! "Man... but I miss those times when we'd wake up to the beeping noise of this clock," you tell yourself. Before you know it, you give up. These things are too valuable to you and you just can't throw them away. You miss your ex and this time you're saying, "I want my ex back."
