Abdominoplasty Tummy Tuck Information

Skin is separated from the abdominal wall and lifted over the vertical abdominal muscles then the muscles are sewn together to tighten them. The skin is then stretched down and flattened and any remaining skin over the incision is cut away with the skin flap sewn into its new place.
Your surgeon will give you a list of things you should and should not do after your surgery. This list will probably include, but is not limited to wearing supportive garments, removal of sutures and exercises that will tone the muscles. You are also encouraged to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to keep to a diet that will not put weight back. All these steps are important to make the most of the procedure and to make it last.
