I cannot stress how immensely important it is to make music contacts in this fast-paced music industry. Whether a record deal is your goal or independent music is more your gig, you still need to meet and network with as many people as possible. The resources for doing just this are enormous and endless, so take advantage of them all.

For starters, we will go over all the types or varieties music contacts that you should make. You may want to get in contact with record labels to submit your demo packs or tapes to. There are also radio stations, hundreds of thousands, all over the country that might want to play your music. Then you have your record stores, they are especially helpful for people to sell their independent music in.

In the music industry, you will need to get in contact with distributors to possibly distribute your music all over the world. If you are in the need of music contacts to book gigs then clubs and venues should be on the top of your list.

Maybe you already have a CD or are ready to record one, if so, then you want to find the best quality studios for whatever part of the country you are in. Once you record and are ready to release your CD, then manufactures are important in the construction phase of your album. Just a note, do not skimp in this area because you want to put a quality product on the market. Your product is a reflection of you and that is a fact.

Media contacts in the music industry are crucial in case you want to submit press releases and music related events. There are all types of media outlets, newspapers, magazines, newsletters, TV and more.

The opportunities for music contacts in this vast music industry are all over the place. You just have to get out there and explore. Make calls, write emails, send letters, create press packages and do whatever you can to promote your stuff.
