Linus reveals what Christmas is about, and eventually the gang warms up to the tree, decorating it as best they can for the Peanuts Christmas DVD. The special won an Emmy and a Peabody award.

Its Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown premiered in 1992. It brings the Peanuts Christmas DVD to the life of the holiday using storylines from the comic strip. Charlie Brown goes door to door selling wreaths to make some money to buy a girl he likes a Christmas gift. Sally works on a theme on what the true meaning of Christmas is, which is a bit of an echo from the first Christmas special that is included in the Peanuts Christmas DVD. However, for unknown reasons, the 2001 documentary entitled The Making of A Charlie Brown Christmas is not included in the Peanuts Christmas DVD.
