Two Methods to Internet Marketing

When it comes to marketing and targeting customers, you have two basic methods to get potential buyers when advertising. There is the Shotgun Method and the Sniper Method. Both work extremely well and I will show you how each work and how to apply each method. You compare the weapons and use the one you think will benefit you the most.

The Sniper targets a specific target market and tries to shift out possible buyers. The possible buyers will most likely be interested and ready to purchase what you are selling. A Shotgun grabs everybody's attention with the same intention to shift out possible buyers, only it is more broad and goes for anyone, even if they are not interested in the product. While the Sniper grabs the attention of 10 targeted customers, the shotgun will grab the attention of 100 random customers.

With the Shotgun Method, you can get a lot more traffic to your website. However, you have less chance of making any sales.

With the Sniper Method, you will not have as much traffic to your website. But when you do get traffic, you will have a much better chance of making some sales because the prospects will be targeted and already looking for your type of product.

One way to maximize the effect of the Sniper Method is to write a very compelling sales letter with an attention grabbing headline that convinces people to "buy now". You can also start Pay-Per-Click campaign with places like Google Adwords and Yahoo.

If you want to maximize the effect of the Shotgun Method, then place e-zine ads, magazine ads, do a press release, etc... Try to saturate the market with advertisements for your product.
