Breaking Up with Girlfriends

One of the hardest things to do in a relationship is ending it. It requires sensitivity, as well as consideration for one's feelings. When breaking up with your girlfriend, the decent way to do it is in person. You should never do it over the telephone or through email. Not doing it in person is not only insensitive, but it will also cause her to lose the respect she had for you. Breaking up is not an easy thing to do. However, you owe her the decency to end the relationship face-to-face.

Places to Go

There is some disagreement when it comes to this subject. Some people say to go someplace private to tell her the bad news due to the fact that she might get emotional. Others say to go and break up with her in a public place, because being in public will prevent her from causing a scene.

Breaking Up

Being direct and honest with the girl is the best way to do it. Delaying it will only make it harder on you. When you are telling her the bad news you should have a sad look on your face, not a happy one. You should also say the words like you mean them.

Everyone believes that their own personal break up is the worse one in the whole world. However, all break ups are pretty much the same, and follow the same patterns. What you need to realize is that life will go on after the break up. You should not look at it as an ending, but as a way to begin a new chapter in your life.
