Yoga is the union of mind, body and the spirit. Yoga poses is all about balance. It helps in balancing your body and mind, the inhalation and exhalation of breathing. The major fear of any aged person may be the fear of falling that can be a broken arm, concussion, or even worse, a broken hip.
Fear of falling could signify lack of independence to so many and every elderly person fears of going to a nursing home or extended care home. It's more important for you to maintain the ability to balance when you are growing into your senior years.
Balancing in life isn't that fades away with age rather it is lost over a lifetime of misuse. There should be some balance in your yoga poses because when doing yoga poses if you favor one side of the body; it leads to poor posture and inactivity result in weaker muscles.
