Conventionally makeup is just meant for the face, however there is a growing trend of body makeup that not many people know of today. With the latest fashion exposing more of our bodies, it also exposes many of our private defects that we shudder to show the world. What body makeup really does it cover those defects as it does in face makeup. Once those defects are covered, you will be pretty comfortable flaunting your flawless looking body, wearing the latest designer clothes.

It is a real fact that the styles in today's society is the more skin the better. Therefore, because more skin is now revealed with the clothes we wear, our bodies are now more exposed, which means so are our "defects". Body makeup has become one of the most popular ways of covering up those defects where are skin is exposed.

Body makeup is used much like concealer or foundation is used on the face, which we use to cover up flaws on the face such as pimples or age spots. However, body makeup is used everywhere else, but has the same job, covering up what we don't want others to see.

If you want to cover bruises, where you've ran into the coffee table while running around the house with 10 minutes to get to work or other unsightly defects such as nicks, freckles, or the ever feared spider veins, body makeup is the cosmetic for you.

Of course, that is not the only reason body makeup is used. Some people use it to create an even skin tone throughout the body. For example, if you got more sun on your arms than your legs, but you want to match it up, you might use body makeup to do the job.

Here are some tips to help you get the right, real effect with your body makeup.

1. When using body makeup to match up the tone of your skin, you want to be sure that you get the right tone. To use on legs, make sure your arms are always darker, so use your arm as an example and get a lighter tone.

2. For darkening the tone of the neck, use your back and chest as an example, going lighter than the color of those areas.

3. Match your skin color - The key to fooling everyone and giving yourself a "real" look with body makeup is making sure you match your skin color.

4. As with foundation, follow up the body makeup with powder to set the look.

5. Get the right blend - For all over areas, you can choose the right blend for you, however, for specifics skin areas, for example spider veins or age spots, you want to use a product that is cream based.

6. Setting - When setting with powder, make sure the powder is clear, keeping the body makeup form smudging or coming off.

7. Proper Application - You want to make sure the body makeup is applied properly with the right tools. You will want a latex sponge, the body makeup, the clear powder, powder puff, and powder brush.

The above tips will help you get a real look, even finish with your body makeup every time. So you no longer need to think of what body part you can or cannot expose. All you need to do is to pickup the latest fashion and cover the defects with a good layer of makeup. This is the latest fashion trend that is fast gaining popularity soon everybody will be as comfortable with body makeup as they are with face makeup.
