Puggle trainings are being done by trainers and dog owners in the hopes of getting a well trained dog that causes fewer problems. There are lots of methods and techniques in order to achieve success in training your dog. One of the most simple and effective tool a dog owner can use is the giving of rewards. Rewards are considered positive reinforcers. It can be anything a dog finds rewarding, be it special food treats or toys, the chance to play with other dogs or the owner's attention.
A firm tone of voice along with a reward is often enough to make your dog obey your command. Rewards are reinforcements that help the dog understand that he has done something good. However, reward must not be mistaken with bribery. Bribery in dog training means dog is aware of the presence of the reward before he is asked to obey the command. Once your dog gets used of bribery, he will eventually refuse to obey what you are telling him to do when he can not see the reward. The best thing for you to do is to hide the reward from your dog. Show and give the reward only when he has successfully complied with the command.
Sometimes, punishing your dog is very much needed though it is seldom recommended. Punishment is only given when you catch a dog does something unacceptable, to make him understand why he is being punished. Punishing your dog a day after the act will not make any difference and will only confuse him of why he is being punished.
As much as possible, avoid punishing your dog physically. Giving them a spank on the back will not make them a dog you want them to be. For example you discovered that your dog accidentally used the kitchen floor as his bathroom. Hitting his rear not in the act will not make him understand his mistake. He might think that doing his business will make you punish him thus possibility is he will try to hide his dirt in areas where you can't see or he will try to suppress it. What it seems to be a simple problem may eventually lead to physical and even psychological issues that will concern your dog.
Dogs love to get their owner's attention and will do everything to have it. He will surely feel happy when you give him your loving praise, soothing caress and a time to play with you as a reward for every good thing he has done. You will then see him obey you again and again. Success in Puggle training isn't it?
