Sharing The Internet Connection

If you are connecting two or more of your computers with each other over the network, then it is easily for you to share the Internet connection with the systems. In sharing the Internet connection among networked computers, you will need to have the connection on at least one computer. Microsoft Windows will support the Internet Sharing by default; therefore you will not need any tool in performing this task. To help you more, here is information for you. Log on to the Windows on a host computer as the Administrator or as the Owner. Host is a computer that already has an Internet connection. After that, click the "Start" menu, and then click the "Control Panel."

For the second step, click the "Network and Internet Connections" and after that, click "Network Connections." Then, you can right-click on the connection that you will use in connecting to the Internet and also click the "Properties."

For the next step, go to the "Advanced" tab and then select the "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" you need to checkbox under "Internet Connection Sharing." If you are trying to share the dial-up connection, you need to select the "Establish a dial-up connection whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the Internet" checkbox. After that, click "OK," and then "Yes."

On the Client Computer

The first thing that you have to do is that your need to connect the host computer with the client by using the network cable. A computer that does not have the connection is a client. After that, log on to Windows on a client computer as an Administrator or even the Owner.

You should click the "Start" menu, and then click the "Control Panel." Click the "Network and Internet Connections" and then click the "Network Connections." You need to right-click on the "Local Area Connection," and then click the "Properties."

You should go to the "General" tab, the click "Internet Protocol," and after that click the "Properties."

Click the "Obtain an IP address automatically" in the Properties dialog box and then click the "OK" button.

You should also click the "OK" button in the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box. The connection of Internet will be shared between the host and also the client computer.
