This Internet marketing strategy is to help you build your list of subscribers and also help you to generate sales. The first thing you should do when you are using this free content strategy is to vigorously promote the 'benefits' of the e-book on your website. Make sure you are asking your visitor to give you their name and email address in order to receive the free e-book chapter.

One extremely effective method that is commonly used online for this is the "name capture page" which is a page that explains the the benefits of the free chapter you are giving away and makes it mandatory that the visitor give you your name and email address before they can proceed.

Now, in this free chapter, make sure you include the content page of the e-book so that the customer can see what this e-book will cover. Make the titles of the content page are catchy and that they appeal to the needs and wants of the customer. This will make them excited and increase the interest for your e-book.

In the free chapter, it is best to include the abstract and the first chapter of the e-book. This is because your abstract and the first chapter of your e-book is preparing and bracing your customer for the benefits the book is going to provide to them. So, when your customer has read the content page, abstract and the first chapter, lead them on with a second e-mail that shows them the link to buy the e-book.
