If you learn some simple breathing exercises, meditations, and relaxation techniques you are on your way to becoming healthier.

Doing this can lead to increased feelings of well-being, reduced stress (one of the biggest killers in the world), reduced blood pressure, and increased feelings of being in control and relaxation.

MEDITATION A NATURAL ALTERNATIVE

Meditation offers a potential natural alternative to western medicine or, at least, can act as a supplement to it.

The great thing about learning meditation is that it really is not that difficult.

All it requires is a bit of time each day where you can sit quietly.

No gadgets. No 'gizmos'. No medicines. Just you, your breath, and your mind.

RESEARCH HIGHLIGHTS THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

Interestingly the University of Wisconsin found the positive emotions after meditation led to beneficial changes in brain activity and antibody responses to flu vaccine.

This is AWESOME!

It is showing that all you require for boosted immunity is patience to learn and perform some fundamental meditation techniques.

You don't necessarily need pills and potions. Often they are over-priced and ineffective anyway. You just need to learn a few exercises that are more internal than external.

ATHLETES BENEFIT FROM MEDITATION

The benefits of deep breathing exercises and meditation also extends to those who pursue competitive sports.

Firstly some focused meditation and visualisation can lead to improved performance. Many top competitors now view visualisation as an indispensable tool in their quest for victory.

Secondly deep breathing alone can aid in becoming fitter. This means that on so called 'rest' days an athlete can maintain or increase fitness in an invigorating way that will not tire them out.

A great supplement to their main training protocols!

There are many reasons why you should incorporate some form of deep breathing exercises into your health and fitness regimes regardless of what your goals may be.

All it takes to begin is a few minutes each day and you will start to experience the benefits!
