Life is definitely a balancing act. Have you ever been in the situation where your child has a concert at school, you've promised to help with the community fundraiser, you are needed at the office, and you completely forgot about the dinner date with your best friend? Not to mention the fact that you've passed your husband in the hall like co-workers for the last two weeks!

It happens to all of us. We always have the best of intentions when committing, but sometimes life and its demands can come crashing down on us regardless of all of our good intentions. To prevent yourself from a major breakdown, a good way to make sure you have a good drive is to take a look at your Wheel of Life. How rocky or how smooth is it? The key to polishing your wheel of life is to figure out how to balance everything daily. You don't have to give up time with your friends because you are a busy mom with a growing business. You can have it all and stay sane at the same time.

Sometimes we focus our energies so much on a few areas of our life that we forget that other areas are also important. Which areas have you neglected recently? The Wheel of Life, sometimes called the Balance Wheel, will help you visualize your current situation. It will provide a snapshot of how you see your life today. Each spoke in the Wheel represents an area in your life that can contribute to your feeling of happiness and satisfaction. When you are living your life in a way that balances the needs of each, you will experience satisfaction and a sense of purpose. This is about you and how you feel right now about your life.

The key to a well-balanced Wheel of Life is visualizing everything in order of importance to you, then making the time for it, and sticking to your plan. A great way to make a plan for balancing your wheel is a Business Planning Guide and a good support system like a coach or a friend to keep you on track with your plans and your wheel.

As a mom who has worked in the Real Estate Industry for many years, I know how difficult it can be to be a perfect mom and stay afloat in business at the same time. Just being a mom is tough enough, let alone growing a business and maintaining a good marriage at the same time! Featured on Oprah, Good-Enough Mother: The Perfectly Imperfect Book of Parenting by René Syler with Karen Moline is a great book to reassure all of us that we can be great moms without the cookie cutter norms.
