It used to be difficult for the plus size woman to find clothing that was flattering and many felt that they were doomed to wearing clothing that was made for the senior crowd. Well those days are over since fashion designers are now creating clothing lines for the plus size woman and their creations are flattering and sexy. Plus size women are even finding slinky dresses that accentuate their figures without focusing on their bulges and rolls.

But what a full figure woman needs to keep in mind is that there are some fashion rules that they need to stick by in order to flatter their figures.

Rule #1When shopping for a dress always look for something that has an a-line shape. These dresses seem to work better for a full figure as it hangs better without gathering at the waist.

Rule #2Pick out a color that suits you. The right colour can make all the difference.

Rule #3Wear appropriate clothing according to the activity. With such a wide selection in different categories you are sure to find what you're looking for.

Rule #4When shopping for suits, the plus size woman needs to look for long tops and this applies to jackets as well.

Rule #5The plus size woman when looking for slacks often finds that the length is too long or too baggy and often to correct the problem has a professional alter them. Pick out slacks with a wider leg and have the waistline altered.

You need to feel comfortable in what you wear. Otherwise, if something is too small, you will feel and look uncomfortable.

Today with so much to choose from in variety and style, the plus size woman can dress to accentuate and flatter her figure. With this in mind you can look and feel great.
