3) Modify your sleeping position. Sleeping on your back can cause your tongue to fall back on your throat which can lead to the production of sound. Also, sleeping supine negates the effect of gravity in opening your airway. You can try sleeping on your side or with a pillow on your shoulders to elevate your head.
