A vacation in Deer Valley during any season of the year provides opportunities for children of all ages to find entertainment and fun. This is a family-friendly environment. Deer Valley Resort operates a Children�s Center where non-skiing children ages 2 months to 12 years can spend a fun day while their parents hit the slopes. The Children's Center is licensed and offers wonderful activities like story telling, crafts, and singing.

For children and young adults would like to ski, Deer Valley offers a great selection of runs that are suitable for young skiers. The resort also offers professional lessons to kids. These lessons are available one-on-one or in groups. The instructors are specifically trained to teach children, so learning will be exciting and will help the child improve his/her skiing. This is a fantastic way for children to practice skiing while their parents challenge themselves on more advanced terrain. Lessons can be given to kids as young as three.

For visitors who would like to go to into Park City, there are numerous great activities offered at Park City Mountain Resort during the winter and summer months. For smaller kids, Little Minors Park offers fun such as a merry-go-round and choo-choo train. This little park allows you to include even the tiniest tot in the fun. Another great feature of this area is the human maze, where kids can work their way through a larger-than-life-labyrinth. In addition, there is great fun for the bold child who can grab a harness and try his skill at the climbing wall or jump and flip on the trampolines of the Legacy Launcher.

This area also has an Alpine Slide. The rides are open to children as young as 2 as long as they're with an adult. Alpine Slide includes a chair lift ride up the mountain followed by sledding down a track to the bottom. It can be a gentle ride or quite fast depending on your application of the brake. A newer attraction is the Alpine Coaster. This roller-coaster is perfect for people who want the excitement of an amusement park in a gorgeous mountain setting. The entire family can also join together in a round of miniature golf. For families desire to travel a little further, just a few miles from Park City�s center is the Utah Olympic Park which has its� own excitements to offer.

Regardless of the season, this area offers fun and entertainment for children of all ages. There are activities to match every price range and budget. Hiking and biking in the summer and snowshoeing, sledding, or skating in the winter are fun, inexpensive family activities. The downtown area has kid-friendly dining and lots of places to purchase an ice cream cone or sweet treat to top off a day of fun.
