Samsung D840: A slim phone with smart features.

Samsung has become an undisputed leader in making handsets with slim casings. First it was D900-the slimmest mobile phone available in the market and now it the D840 which is an upgrade over D820 and is 3mm more slimmer. The Samsung D840 not only has looks but also supports a range of useful features which makes your mobile communication richer.

The surface of the handset is made out of materials like magnesium and fiberglass infused plastic. A nice metallic look on the device adds style. Measuring 99 x 51 x 11.9 mm and weighing around 100 grams, the mobile phone can slip into any pocket size.

Samsung D840 has a much better camera than its predecessor D820. The handset features a 2-megapixel with quality imaging capabilities to help you shoot picturesquely. The video-recorder helps you freeze some live action in the form of video clips. The handset has a superb 2.12 inch 262k color TFT display which displays graphics at 240x320 pixel resolution.

The Samsung D840 has a high-quality music player which supports MP3, AAC, AAC+ and WMA music files. The mobile phone has a document viewer to help you see Word, Power point, Excel and PDF files.
The tri-band Samsung D840 supports 900, 1800, 1900 MHz networks to give you connectivity across the globe. With Bluetooth 1.2, USB 1.1, EDGE and GPRS technologies, you have multiple options to connect you device and transfer data at high-speed.

A 70 MB of embedded memory with microSD memory card slot expands the storage space to accommodate more songs, images and video-clips. Other features available in the handset includes WAP 2.0, xHTML browser, Java MIDP 2.0, vCalendar, vCard and TV output to give you a big screen experience.
