You may have decided to part with that much loved RV that has been a part of your families vacations for many a year. Whatever type of RV you have, whether it's a camper, a motorhome or a luxury van, take a look at the tips below before you put up the for sale sign.
Get a web site listing for your RV. If you've been RV-ing for some time, no doubt you will have heard of a good local RV web site. Most of these sites have an RV's for sale section. You should be able to get your RV's picture and description, along with your contact information posted online within a day or two. The listing fee should be relatively small and will help to stimulate interest in your sale.
Most RV's of a certain age have their own set of scars, each one with it's own tale. Unfortunately prospective buyers won't share your fond memories and actually hope that they are going to view a "good as new" even if it's 10 years old. That's human nature for you. So go ahead and surprise them, polish up the exterior, spruce up the interior and make a great first impression. Most buyers will though, will inspect more closely especially if they are interested and that's exactly what you want. So make sure not to leave any clutter lying around inside the RV.
When preparing to sell, it's a good idea to have any proof of service history to hand including any receipts. A regularly serviced RV is a much better prospect for a potential buyer. If you have just one or two small dents, it may be worth getting them done along with any other small niggles your RV may have, before you sell. Small repairs often pay back with a quicker sale or even higher price. Advertising your RV with a clean bill of health will surely add to increase the interest from buyers.
