Keeping up your Maltese's Coat
Maltese coat's require alot of attention from their owners. While it does not require shaping, it does need frequent brushing and combing.
Here are some general tips on keeping your Maltese well groomed.
Make sure to comb all the way down ro the skin. This will make sure that you get ride of all mats and tangles.
Make sure to bath your Maltese with a quality shampoo and use a conditioner/creme rinse also. When finished bathing blow dry and brush as you go.
Maltese should be brushed everyday, at miniuim every other day. Also never brush the coat dry, spray it with some coat conditioner.
Do not forget to pay attention to the eyes. Wiping eyes every day will prevent excessive tearing and staining. A tear stain remover can help with this.
