Chairs Where Great Things Happen

There are some classic visuals from the movies of places where some of the most famous and exciting dialogs have taken place or places where we see ourselves having one of those once in a lifetime moments. We think of the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris or that smokey nightclub in Casablanca from the movies. But probably a place where you most often think of people having great conversations are in some far off cafe sitting in cafe chairs engaging in the human drama of discussion and thought.

Whether it's a sidewalk cafe on the streets of some exotic European town or a romantic hideaway cafe where two lovers split flirt or an ordinary all American Starbucks or some other coffee shop, cafe chairs have developed a unique public personality and it is those settings that we often see in our imaginations as being the places where great things happen.

This is the way that the chairs of your cafe will be viewed. It is your cafe that your guests and customers will come to enjoy great moments as well. That is the allure of the coffee shop cafe. These are the places we hope meet a long lost friend or lover, where the atmosphere is just right to sign that big business deal to make you rich or maybe to be discovered by Hollywood as sometimes happened in cafe's in so many California cafes. Whatever the great thing that your customer has in his or her imagination that might happen in a cafe, they will want to be seated in one of the cafe chairs at your coffee shop when fate brings that special moment their way.

Its good to look at how special the cafe setting have so much become part of the popular lore of our culture because it's inspirational as you shop for the chairs you will provide to your customers when you open your cafe for business. While on a day in and day out basis, most of the meetings going on in those cafe chairs will be meetings between friends, families taking a moment to be together for short time or a cordial time between business associates, you just never know that at any given moment at one of those tables in your cafe, something great may be happening.

When putting together your "shopping list" for buying all of the things you will need to launch a cafe that will be popular with your guests not only when it first launches but for many years, there is always the balance between your dream and your bank account. So while you want to invest well in high quality, "class" interior design and equipment, you also are a good businessperson and you know all about cutting costs and running a tight ship.

There may be some parts of your interior decorating scheme where you can find ways to economize. The areas where economy may be in order are the ones where little stress is put on those items and that do not directly interact with the customers. But when it comes to equipment for the preparation of food, cutlery and certainly furniture that will be so central to the experience your customers will have in your cafe, this is not a good place to be cheap.

The chairs your guests will use during their stay are just as important to the cafe experience as the coffee or the food you serve. Your guests and customers will walk away from your cafe with a positive or negative impression of your cafe based very much on the service they get, the food or drink they have and the quality of seating they enjoy. And in that those chairs may be the places where great things happen, you want them to be top notch for the most important community of them all - the people who will patronize your cafe.

You cannot be sure that every customer you get will drink coffee. You don't know if every customer will order a bagel or a dinner. You may have guests that don't order anything at all but you want them to have an enjoyable time in your cafe nonetheless. But one thing that can be said with a virtual certainty is that every person who spends time in your cafe will sit on one of your cafe chairs. That means you want 100% certainty that those chairs will be of reliable service to your guests every time they are used.

So that necessity that your cafe chairs are of the highest level of reliability and quality is the number one reason not to cut corners on this part of your cafe decorating scheme. But you also want those chairs to facilitate social activity, not limit it. A cafe is a place where at any given time, people could grab chairs and form into a large group for a massive college discussions group, a political discussion or just to have fun in a larger group setting for a few hours. Just as fast, others might steal chairs to enjoy the gorgeous weather outside or to to sneak off to a cozy part of the cafe for some romantic whispering.

Your chairs should be ultimately adaptable so they can be where your customers want them to be and go where your guests want to go. This is a design stipulation that should influence the chair you choose. And because this kind of freedom within the cafe is what will build a large and loyal customer base, don't opt for discount chairs and sacrifice the way your cafe chairs give daily service to your guests.

The important thing is that long before you turn the key on the door to open that space that will become your cafe, you will have already begun the research into what will be the best cafe chairs for your guests. It's appropriate to combine high standards of quality with a sharp business sense that knows how to find high quality at reasonable prices. For example, you may be able to find the finest of quality in cafe chairs on the second hand market, at auctions or on ebay. Looking for such deals and doing your homework will mean that when you open your cafe, you will have utmost confidence that the army of chairs out there on the floor of your cafe will take good care of your customers. And no marginal savings cutting corners is worth giving up that confidence in your cafe furniture.
