In the modern days, people do not have the time to scan ordinary books. It is either you read the book or you don't. Most people would just look at the back cover to know what is the content of the book. Some book enthusiasts find books, specially the hard bound ones to be too bulky and heavy to carry around. Printed books contain detailed description of every action, activity, and events happening in the plot. This is the main reason why eBooks are developed. People who are bookworms find eBooks convenient to carry and shorter to read. Some find it convenient to read as well due to its text resizing capability. You won't need reading glasses when you have eye problems. Another thing is that it contains fewer pages and is more direct to the point without going in circles. Negligible parts are excluded to make reading less straining.

eBook or an electronic book is a digital book that is considered an equivalent of the conventional printed book. These kinds of books are read on computers or other hardware devices called eBook devices or eBook readers. There are even cellular phones that read an eBook. Most of the eBook formats are in Adobe's PDF because in Adobe, once it is published, it can never be edited. Only the writer can edit the said articles or book.

There are many pros and cons in an eBook. One of the pros is stated earlier which is the convenience that it gives to the reader. The readers do not need to open pages just like ordinary books. eBooks do not reach to as many as hundred pages. eBook have automatic search for its texts. It also has cross reference using hyperlinks. While the reader is treading he can resize the text according to his ideal reading sight. Another important thing is that with eBook it does not consume paper, ink and any other resources just to publish the said book. Authors can save on the expenses consumed buy paper and ink, thus lowering the selling cost. There are many more pros in an eBook, however, as much as there are cons there are also cons found in eBooks. One of the important cons with eBooks is that it consumes electrical power so if you are a book lover, expect your electricity consumption to be higher.

No matter the pros and cons, book enthusiasts will never cease their reading as long as there are good books to read. Be it online or offline, book will always have their place in society. eBooks may be easier to read, handy to carry around, and shorter than the printed copies, but it still consume money even after you paid for its selling cost. If you are a book lover, you can make your own choice. Be wise and make your own calculations. eBook or printed book?

Try to read as many eBooks as possible and printed books as well so can differentiate the feeling and effects. Both methods of reading strain the eyes. Know which is better.
